    If you want my two cents worth you would untick just about everything in the msconfig Start up button - I do and run this on a regular basis I run this and MBAM at least twice a week
    SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware! - it is really good at keeping PUP's at bay I also use the previously mentioned ADW Cleaner when I have a persistent problem.

    Hmm while you are at it then this is a good tutorial to get a little more out of a machine the author is brilliant and will answer any of you queries. Now having said that some of the "changes" will lose you some "bling" like transparency for example but there again I am not overly fussed with the add-on stuff.

    Warning:
    Be aware that if you have modified your system files as in theming explorer/system files, running sfc /scannow will revert the system files such as explorer.exe back to it's default state. Make the appropriate backups of your system files that you have modified for theming if you wish to save them before running sfc /scannow.


    What does 'theming' mean?

    Hi if you don't know what theming is you more than likely have not altered the default windows 7 themes appearance
    So don't worry about it and run sfc :)
