scam on the go from saying from windows

is there a scam .....windows refund department....got a call going to give me refund??m
a guy by the name of John Wilson// WANTED to access my computer..is this real or a scam..very nervous and said no

Complete scam. Don't let anyone that calls you access your computer.

let me guess, he just needed your personal data, banking and/or credit card account numbers, etc., to complete the transfer??????

Sounds good - but he probably would not want to take remote control of a Linux box.
