Don't worry. PC's are great when they're working well... And highly frustrating when they're not!

You can keep both Avast and Malwarebytes installed together. I have both on my pc and they complement each other very well.
I run a quick scan from each once a week and Avast full system scan once a month.

No more pop-ups. Ran approximately three scans and there were no viruses. I can see the improvement this solution has given. Thank you so much for helping me. I'm doing works now without constant freezing.
