    does windows firewall or a web browser, firefox block this?

    That site does not seem to exist at all, are you sure you typed it right? It also brings up nothing with reverse lookups either. What is the site for I notice you have a CA designation in the url?
    http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/iy05.com It seems if it did exist it is down or its DNS servers are.

    ah, well it looks like the site no longer exists then but as UsernameIssues said that is firefox and not windows firewall.

XP Firewall blocks Win7 laptop

I have an XP SP3 desktop and a Windows 7 (32 bit) laptop connected via a Linksys router. If I turn off the XP's Windows firewall, the laptop can access the shared resources on the XP (files, printers), but with it turned on, nothing. Any advice/help is greatly appreciated. RON
