    Hi,
Did you open the link posted by oscer1 posted ?
    Uninstall a program/ Avast/ Change/ you'll see the browser to uninstall
This does not mean Avast updates will not reinstall it.

    Hi,

Couldn't find the post by oscer1.........?

If Avast updates would reinstall it, whats the fun of uninstalling if it would keep getting reinstalled?

    Thanks.

    Edit:

Care to have a look and suggest what should be unchecked etc?

    Thanks again!

    Hi,
Probably vie Avast updates but it is supposed to be fixed in a newer version someday
You could just switch to a lighter weight antivirus
Panda free is just as good and no where near as bloated,
FREE and lightweight antivirus - Panda Security

Yea this forum changes hyperlinks into text descriptions so yea it can be a tad irritating some times :)
