AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST? come on guy, and then you seem to recommend AVG, really AVG? you really think the free one is going to give you better protection then a pay for software? dang! "senior user" that was surprising so much misinformation & speculation freely passed as fact. what list? be careful man people come here to get informed its really a great community you know that, lets keep it accurate and reliable.
thanks.
heres what i can confidently attest to after cross checking and/or experience.
1. antivirus companies pay to create mock listings, sites that seem like objective places to get informed, they turn out to be nonsense fronts financed by AV companies to convince googlers that their antivirus is the best. The only independent surveys i'm aware of are the ones done by some universities and this one, the highly reputable AV COMPARATIVES
2. Please feel free to download and look over 2009 AV-Comparatives - Independent Tests of Anti-Virus Software results.
Comparative detection capability tests of various popular antivirus products.

3. This is my opinion: Norton 360 2010 was recently released in the torrent world it works on windows 7 and if you analyze the results from the av comparatives its one of the best. especially in terms of false positives, for the downloaders it allows for compression file handling (rar, iso, zip) with adequate antivirus Trojan/worm support so as not to become infected when extracting keygens and torrent material which sometimes in other not so well developed AV's either go undetected or are too aggressively handled by the AV program rendering you the downloader/installer unable to unpack, extract, or install in a safe manner torrents you've downed.
alright thats it,
take care everybody.
