Windows 7: Windows Security: The publisher could not be verified.

Hello,

is it possible to disable the Windows security message which tells "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to install this driver software?".

It come up every time a driver seems not to be signed correctly.

I would not want to try this with my computer, but you can go to tools>internet options>security and set to lower levels of security.

I would not want to do that because, once I start downloading drivers etc, I want the highest level of security available.

This should work, but as I said I never tried it.

Internet security options won't change it, but if you google for "allow unsigned drivers" you will find several solutions.
