Windows Defender turned off at startup

Each time I restart the computer, Windows Defender pops up and asks me to turn it on. After I turn it on and restart, the same thing happens again. How can I get rid of this annoying message? I wanted to try to reinstall Defender, but I can't find it using Add/Remove Programs or Revo Uninstaller.

Thanks for the help, and Happy Thanksgiving to all!

You have a conflict with Windows Defender and your A/V and or firewall.

Suggestion. Uninstall your A/V and get Microsoft MSE Miscrosoft Security Essentials. Made to work with Windows 7. You will not even need defender once you switch.

Hi mate, I am using NOD32 (Real time protection) and MSE (not real-time Protection) do you think it's enough?

Don't know anything about NOD32, and that is the important one, since it is real time. I do feel that MSE, alone is enough.

The best protection, however, is not MSE, ord NOD32, best protection is just a little common sense. If you are intelligent enought to ask the above question, you have the common sense to be safe on the net. The A/V is just your backup.

Go into services (type Services.msc in the start search box)... scroll down to Windows Defender, right click the line, choose properties, then set it to 'disabled'.

I have MSE installed. Should I remove Windows Defender, and if so, how? I can't find it in Programs and Features.

Jaycee must be a mind reader. She answerd your question before you asked.
