Action Center - Find a AV message

I have avast installed on here, but the AC has "solve 1 important message". The AV. Now granted all the talk about how soon ppl think 7 will get out..... no way jose is what i say... if they cant even fix small problems with the OS as to recognize it has an AV installed on it..... MS has more work ahead of them

anyone else running avast or other AV run into this message?

Also too mention, i find it funny about the (only) 4 particular AV MS advertises for.... especially when i've seen and heard problems with norton and avg

Pls dont give an answer to this thread of how to turn off msg, i know.

I don't think it's the OS's problem, but Avasts. I did a repair installation of the Avast Program and it fixed it, or reinstalled it.

Action Center Reporting Avast Not up to Date

If you Generate A Health Report it will say there's no AV program installed.

Thats not a Microsoft/Windows7 issue, they did not change the WMI code or the WMI provider AntiVirusProduct namespace under "root\SecurityCenter"

The problem is caused by the Antivirus product changing the WMI namepsace function as a retarded effort to conceal its new AntiVirusProduct namespace they would prefer using...I created a tool some weeks ago for this exact reason, you can add the missing AVproduct details yourself

Have a read of this thread, it seems Avast, Symantec and a few others are doing this highly retarded function path changes with WMI which causes the SecurityCenter/Action Center to not register a product

No AV installed for Vista (perfmon.exe bug!) - Vista Forums

I attached the tools in one of my posts, you should be able to figure it out easily to add your own FakeAV product to ActionCenter or edit an existing entry to fix their configuration cliches

Let me know how you go

yea, i didnt have this problem at first... just now today i have recognized this.... So basically ANOTHER problem from vista not clearly fixed with 7... atleast in my opinion.... you can blame the AV for not writing a description yea, but MS would know about this by now, why continue the way they have it?

Thanks for the great info dmex... but not gonna bust my head for a beta with more problems being found additionally (and small ones that shoulda been fixed before public rls imo) with it the more i work with it... especially an issue both the AV and MS have known for quite some time now. Battle of two bulls?
