    Windows 7 compatible Antivirus


    Just getting around to installing the Antivirus on my Windows 7 x64.

    What are we all using - Avast?

    Yeah, avast is the only one I could get to work properly. AVG kept shutting off Resident shield and stuff so I uninstalled it and put Avast. No Problems so far.

    I'm using Avast as well without one problem.

    For now, I'm just using the Windows Firewall since I'm using a router with a built-in hardware firewall.

    I have never installed a 3rd party firewall since my I bought my first router 8 years ago

    Yeah the built-in firewalls in routers are great for keeping incoming traffic out, but does nothing to really prevent outgoing traffic.

    I ditched my Antivirus on the 8th of November 2006 and stopped using software firewalls back in 2004 and I have never regretted it once since

    Still not one infection and If I cared about outbound protection I wouldn't have the computer connected to the Internet

    I always win at playing "Spot the Virus"
