Using MSE beta and no problems so far. I was using AVAST prior to that with no problems.

Using MSE but just noticed a problem. Last update was 7/24. When I try to manually update I get a no new updates message. My vista partition, same MSE version, has an update from today. Will post screenshots in a bit but anybody having this problem or know what to do?

I use NOD32 AV, Spybot S&D, Windows Defender, Malware bytes and Windows Firewall and I feel extremely safe.

I am currently using Symantec Endpoint Protection v12. I can use it but the proactive threat protection (detection for outside the normal definitions) doesn't seem able to be configured. This doesn't work correctly. I feel actually safe enough with just Symantec EP running and optionally Windows firewall (with inbound/outbound protection as well compared to XP).

I have used ESET for some time... updated to the latest 4.0.437.0 flawless,
tried MSE for about a week and finally junked it... tired of all the popups, it even said Windefender was flawed.

Been experimenting with W7 Firewall Control
Windows 7 Firewall Control - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com
along with Avast A/V.Primarily because I have W7 on an older PC.
W7 Firewall Control is excellent . Mainly because is blocks ALL outgoing traffic by default.
You have to set your own rules for all programs. Afterwards you will be very secure. It even passed all leak tests I threw at it. As far as Avast A/V it is one of the best.!!!
If your Internet Security program is bogging down your less than new pc try my combo mentioned above. You will be secure without spending any hard earned tax dollars to keep your system safe and secure.
