Windows 7: Bitlocker could not be enabled

Bitlocker could not be enabled

Trying to start Bitlocker and to encrypt a partition, windows gives me the advices to restart an then comes up with the attached error. Who knows how to fix it?

Henning hi and welcome

It tells you in the error to use the Bitlocker recovery to verify the drive. Was the drive changed by you? di you have a AV current and running?

Hi Ken,

"Was the drive changed by you?" No its the drive in the computer. Did not run Bitlocker before. AV is on an off. Doesnt work with and doesnt work without.

You might see if this may help allow you to enable BitLocker on the drive.

BitLocker Drive Encryption - Windows 7 Drive - Turn On or Off with no TPM
