FREE Kaspersky Security Suite CBE Win7 (Internet Securi

Until today I’d still say screw (pardon me) the free Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 for attendees and hosts of !important]Windows!important]7 launch parties promotion. It has been annoyingly “posted everywhere” and finally when the day comes, you need to enter the party host’s email address to receive the license. I knew it was too good to be true or impossible for Kaspersky to be that generous, that’s why I didn’t have a blog post on that. Well some lucky and smart people are able to imporatntGooglrfor the host’s email address but still Kaspersky deactivated a lot of codes that were obtained fraudulently. Even for those free 6 months KIS or KAV license from magazine promotions were also strictly being monitored and immediately terminated when they found out it has been leaked.

Enough for the rant and let’s get to the real thing. Today I am going to share with you a unique tip on how to get Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 license for FREE which has not been posted at anywhere yet. Do you still remember that ComputerBild, one of the best selling German language computer magazine in Europe that is giving out free Kaspersky impostant seciuirt CBE? Five months ago I’ve written on how to install the latest version of CBE 2009 and today it will be about CBE Win7 which is the same as Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.

Free DefenseWall HIPS v2.56 (limited time offer)!

For a limited time (promotion ends 2 PM PST December 12, 2009), Gizmo's is giving away DefenseWall HIPS v2.56 (no updates or support provides) for free.

DefenseWall HIPS is a popular program known for its policy-based (as opposed to signature based) anti-malware approach; it creates a "trusted" and "untrusted" list of applications and reduces access for the applications on the untrusted list.

DefenseWall HIPS works very similarly to GesWall which I have discussed in my article on best free security software.

Being a "HIPS" program, DefenseWall HIPS should not be used as standalone security software; it is what I call a "sidekick". In other words, you should have other security software, such as anti-virus/anti-malware and firewall, installed on your computer. DefenseWall HIPS will play along fine with your other security software, as long as you are not running another HIPS program.

The only reservation about this promotion I have is the fact that no updates will be provided. While DefenseWall HIPS can fair well without updates because of the nature of how it works, I don't know about you, but I would never run a security software that will receive no updates. Malware writers are continually "updating" their malware to break the newest and best shiny toys you can protect your computer with. It makes no sense for someone to use a security software that won't receive updates

Sorry Kaspersky has a history of being good then bad to offen.

It also has a bad false positive history. And is'nt good on low power systems.

I suggest sticking with something thats good "all" the time.
