    Security warning Help!

I checked the subject in the other forums but cannot find the answer.
When I pin a program (imaging program, dictionary etc) to the taskbar it opens normally. When I create a shortcut in my links toolbar to the same program I receive the Security Warning...Do you want to open this file? How to disable this warning?

The interesting thing is that when I drag the icon from the links toolbar (which gives me the warning after I click on it) to the taskbar and click on the same icon in the taskbar, it opens normally.

    Thank you

It's probably because Windows considers all executables (exe files) in the Links as files from Internet, So it gives them label as potential dangerous (As they are from internet), so it warns you before opening.

I have experimented putting Windows native paint there and it gives the same warning (so it considers all programs in links as from Internet and potential danger)

    Solution:
    1. Create New folder anywhere in your disk, (put your Favourite programms and links there)
    2. Go to toolbars and click new toolbar. And choose the folder you created.

There should be no more warnings.
    Hope it works for you

    Hi Jav:
Thank you for your reply. I understand what you mean but it does not quite work for me. I did create such a folder but when I want to access a program, I need to first click on the folder and then select the program (perhaps I did not quite understand what you meant)

I would like to have these icons pinned to the Quick launch (I think this is how it is called). Here is the image of what I would like to have:

The three small icons on the right is the Quick launch bar (?). When I click on them, I get the warning, when I move them to the taskbar at left they work OK.

What I need is a 1 click operation, just to be able to click on these small icons and not to receive a warning.
    Thank you for your time.

Hi Tav: I found the solution. It is done via
To add or remove a site from a security zone

    1. Click the Start button, click Control Panel, type Internet options in the search box, and then click Internet Options.
    2. Then select Internet and at the bottom Custom level ...
    3. Then change the settings under Launching applications and unsafe files (not secure) to Enable (not secure) and then click OK where appropriate. There is some security warning but I do not use IE for web browsing so I guess I need not worry about that.
