Sounds good to me. Just another question - Is the licence key number permanent, or do you get a new one when you renew the subscription when your existing one expires?

I've not had to renew one yet but i'm sure you have to reregister every 12months, which is no big deal for a free quality product.

I'm pretty sure that when you have to re register after one year, they send you a different key, otherwise one key would last forever. I can't remember.

Yep, you have to re-register every year to receive a new different number. I believe you will get a notice from Avast that it is about to expire to let you know though.

Hi Brink

I DID find an inconsistency between AVAST running on Windows 7 x-64 build 7100 and VISTA (X-64 ultimate with SP1 installed).

Whilst testing I found Windows 7 reported a disk has having 3 trojans on it whereas the VISTA version reported Disk was 100% clean.

I reported this to AVAST who were VERY HELPFUL and interested -- and they will get back to me.

So Thumbs up for Support here unlike a lot of other companies
