Many just wind up uninstalling and even that is a problem. Compare it to MSE, free from Microsoft, Microsoft Sec Essentials. hi !
yes, i know about previous problems with KIS, but i also know that many are reporting that KIS 2010 works very well.
and it´s also free, since i have a license...
as you can see from my signature, i´ve been using Avira & MSE,
i have installed Windows 7-Enterprise today and want to test KIS.
but, my question is: which component is the firewall ? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell OS W7-Enterprise + WS-2008 (Converted to Workstation) CPU P4 2,4GHz (at 1,8GHz, "slow" RDRAM, only 400MHz FSB...) If you are already using comodo firewall, go for kaspersky anti virus instead of full suite. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Samsung NP530U4B-S02IN OS Windows® 8 Pro (64-bit) CPU Intel® Core™ i5 Processor 2467M (1.60GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) Motherboard Samsung Electronics Memory 6GB DDR3 System Memory at 1,333MHz (on BD 4GB + 2GB x 1) Graphics Card AMD Radeon™ HD7550M 1GB DDR3 (Ext. hi !
thanks for the tip, but i was thinking about using KIS including FW later on.
found out that the FW is called web-antivirus (?!).
problem solved, KIS doesn´t like Comodo, so i´m going for another combination instead. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell OS W7-Enterprise + WS-2008 (Converted to Workstation) CPU P4 2,4GHz (at 1,8GHz, "slow" RDRAM, only 400MHz FSB...) KIS Kaspersky Internet Security actually has a very good firewall I would just use KIS or you could switch and use Comodo Internet Security since you obviously like their firewall | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit CPU AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Overclocked to 3.0Ghz Motherboard Biostar TF560 A2+ Memory 2 Gigs of G.Skill DDR2 800 Graphics Card HIS ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro With IceQ cooler Sound Card 6.1 Channel Sound Blaster Live 24 Bit Monitor(s) Displays Dual 20.5 " LG Flatrons W2052TO Screen Resolution 1152x864 Keyboard Saitek Eclipse II Mouse A4Tech wireless battery free optical scroll mouse PSU 430 watt Seasonic 80%+ Dual 12v Rails 2x80mm fans Case CHIEFMAX YA-5X Cooling 4-80mm case fans 1-140mm case fan freezer 64 Pro CPU cooler Hard Drives Dual 36 Gig 10,000 RPM Raptors Internet Speed 1.5 meg down 384 up Other Info Logisys LED fan/light controller and dual 16" LED sticks mounted inside top of case all fans are LED all lighting is blue

Hi, hackerman1. (Yes, its the same Corrine from TWC ).
You will need to do a custom install if you do not want to remove the Comodo firewall. See Installation / Uninstallation
I take it you are planning on uninstalling MSE and Avira (and hope that you don't have them both active now.) | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 & Windows Vista Ultimate |

hi Corrine !
welcome to sevenforums, nice to see that you too found the best Windows 7-forum.
very nice to have another security-expert & MVP here.
mods: sorry for cross-posting in 2 threads, but someone else might need the info here too...
yes, i know that i can install KIS without firewall, i tried to install, but it wanted to uninstall Comodo´s FW, because it´s KIS A/V-component is non-compatible with Comodo´s FW.
the BIG problem is that KIS is non-compatible with a lot of other A/V´s & FW´s...
can Comodo´s FW really be used together with KIS ?
"uninstalling MSE and Avira ?"
i installed Windows 7-Enterprise yesterday, so they are not installed.... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell OS W7-Enterprise + WS-2008 (Converted to Workstation) CPU P4 2,4GHz (at 1,8GHz, "slow" RDRAM, only 400MHz FSB...)
