    PC Tools Firewall & Kaspersky 2010 ?


    hi !

    is it possible to run PC Tools Firewall Plus 6.0.0.86 & Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 together ?

    It'll slow down your network connections as the packets have to go through several firewall programs.

    you didn´t understand what i meant, i only want 1 FW,
    can KIS *WITHOUT* firewall be used together with PC-Tools FW ?

    Yes. You can do a custom install without the firewall. See Installation / Uninstallation. I thought, however, based on your thread at Kaspersky Internet Security 2010, Firewall ? that you wanted to stay with Comodo firewall, not PC-Tools FW.

    welcome to sevenforums, nice to see that you too found the best W7-forum.
    very nice to have another security-expert & MVP here.

    yes, i know that i can install KIS without firewall, i tried to install, but it wanted to uninstall Comodo´s FW, because it´s KIS A/V-component is non-compatible with Comodo´s FW.

    the BIG problem is that KIS is non-compatible with a lot of other A/V´s & FW´s,
    i´m asking because i can´t find PC-Tools on Kasperky´s list.

    My contacts at the Kaspersky forums deal with malware so you may need check the KAV forums: Kaspersky Lab Forum or Kaspersky Fan Club Forum.

    I guess you can do a custom installation and keep the firewall aside.
