It'll slow down your network connections as the packets have to go through several firewall programs.

Yes. You can do a custom install without the firewall. See Installation / Uninstallation. I thought, however, based on your thread at Kaspersky Internet Security 2010, Firewall ? that you wanted to stay with Comodo firewall, not PC-Tools FW.

hi Corrine !

welcome to sevenforums, nice to see that you too found the best W7-forum.
very nice to have another security-expert & MVP here.

yes, i know that i can install KIS without firewall, i tried to install, but it wanted to uninstall Comodo´s FW, because it´s KIS A/V-component is non-compatible with Comodo´s FW.

the BIG problem is that KIS is non-compatible with a lot of other A/V´s & FW´s,
i´m asking because i can´t find PC-Tools on Kasperky´s list.

Thanks, hackerman.

I guess you can do a custom installation and keep the firewall aside.

Compatible firewall for Kaspersky
I just updated from Kaspersky AV 2010 to Kaspersky 2013. The update said that the Comodo firewall I was using conflicted with 2013. So now I'm using the Windows 7 firewall. Is the Windows 7 firewall adequate or can someone recommend another one? Thanks, JohnTysz
