Windows security Centre Service won't start

    Windows security Centre Service won't start


    I get this error when i try turn it on.

    Check if the service in Service has started?

    If you mean to say you tried doing this in Service and it failed.

    Then check in the Event Logs for the error. Maybe a Dependencies issue.

    I mean it won't start its not enable and i failed when i try to start it

    What do you use as security program? Did you ever install one - e.g. MSE http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

    Same problem


    I am having the same problem, it will not start, if i try to start it from services i get a message telling me Error 5: Access is denied.
    What does this mean and how do i fix it?

    Any help appreciated.

    Enable the hidden here:

    Enable the (Hidden) Administrator Account on Windows 7 or Vista - How-To Geek

    and then try activating again. I'd also do a full system scan with Malwarebytes Anti Malware after updating.

    Run sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt.
