Could someone help me out, im trying to get CFP to work with 7, and on my previous install it was working great. But i reinstalled and really want this working.

The trouble is, i've tried to install it multiple times before on a fresh windows 7 install (7077 32) and every time i get a bsod.

Im going to the computability for vista, run as admin, turning off win firewall and setting notification to never in settings before i install.

bsod EVERY time! no matter if def+ is completly off (i thought this was causing it) updates are off. (that thread said updates didnt work).

But no, i told it to NOT run at startup, i restarted, and bam bsod. Nothing i do can prevent this about 20 seconds into login. I;ve even tried disabling both my networking cards (cause my wifi has had troubles before)

If anyone knows what i can do, or why this is happening... like i said i had it working fine on a previous install. Thanks for any help.

edit, darn good thing for xp dual boot.

Unfortunately Comodo themselves do not "Support" windows 7 as yet, with no official plan to until RTM. There have been some good results with the later Windows 7 builds with Comodo's own latest Beta builds.

I would suggest you have a look on the Comodo forums and check what is the preferred Comodo build for 7077, You may have to sign up to get access to the Beta builds but this is free so not too painful :).

I am personally a long time supporter of Comodo but have decided to, for the moment, use the windows firewall with Vista Firewall control on builds of Windows 7. I still however instal CIS on any XP or Vista machines.

A recent test on my system gave a full clean bill of health to my windows 7 install protected by WF and VFC (and my hardware router firewall), so I do not feel as unsecure as I did running Vista's and XP's firewall :)

Thanks for the response, the beta builds though? I thought that jstu the latest CIS was working. Odd that i had it running fine on just my previous install though! Well i'll try it once more, and if not, i'll try the beta build of CIS, thanks :)

p.s. i still dont trust windows firewall lol and i only have a reg router going to my AP, no firewall

Yes the cis builds started off not working at all well with the earlier builds of 7 and then caught up, but I think all the releases,(escapes ), of 7 we've had recently may well have outpaced them again.

A quick check direct on the comodo site will i'm sure give you the latest info, and although i'ts not supported comodo staff are regulars on the forum

I have a wireless router to service the laptops so the h/w firewall builds up the protection, but still run the windows f/w for security inside the local network.

    Comodo

Comodo firewall works fine after initial install. However, if one tries to run the updates available, it becomes unstable and crashes my comp running on Windows 7. Postpone installation until Comodo sorts this out.

Before I would ever trust Comode with my PC, I would suggest you read through this forum. Myself I wouldn't have Melih or his software anywhere near me as he is in business for money only and the h3ll with your PC security. He supports malware vendors with his issuing policy of never checking who he issues certs too
