    Comodo Firewall Pro

    Hello all....:)

I'm about to install CFP v# 3.0.25.378; and I would like to hear some feedback. Is anyone running CFP on Windows 7 yet?

    Comodo Firewall Pro

    Thank you!

    Hello again....

When I attempt to install CFP I get this and CFP doesn't show up in "Installed Programs"; any ideas? And yes; I disabled WF first.

    Hi Ted,

You may want to try the comodo internet security download and install rather than the firewall on it's own.

Mine shows 3.5.54375.427 as build info - I only run the firewall but install via the CIS download and uncheck the AV option

Hello Nigel; I love the avatar....

Thanks for the input; maybe in a day or so I'll give it another go. Just to clarify: you do have Comodo running successfully on W7? F/W & A/V.

    Howdy!...:)

Yes, I'm running Avast and Windows F/W at present. As I don't go places I shouldn't go; I'm not real concerned about a 3rd party F/W right now. I just wanted to get this sorted because I like CFP and would like to use it with W7.

Thank you Nigel and to all who offer input.

    Hi Ted,

Update on status of Comodo Internet Security Firewall only install

    It Works

what I did was set the compatability mode of the installer to Vista RTM and it installed.

It may be that the installer is the thing that has the problem with seven

You might take caution with Comodo Internet Security (Firewall). Take a look at the post below. It appears to run just fine, but uninstalling may be another story.

A word of warning re: Comodo Firewall. It is an internet connection buster when it uninstalls and it also BSOD'd on me twice in the process of uninstalling & it did not do it cleanly and I had to spend at least an hour cleaning up the registry...they don't appear to have a removal tool. So I had to rely on System Restore in the end.
I'm staying with Windows Firewall for now and keeping my fingers crossed that it and Avast will protect me.

Shawn while there might be bugs in the uninstaller there are ways to uninstall it
one would be to uninstall it in safe mode since it does not use the windows installer
there is post that actually shows how to successfully uninstall CPF if the uninstall stop, froze or BSOD. Here it is:
