Hello again. ... When I attempt to install CFP I get this and CFP doesn't show up in "Installed Programs"; any ideas? And yes; I disabled WF first.

Hi Ted,
You may want to try the comodo internet security download and install rather than the firewall on it's own.
Mine shows 3.5.54375.427 as build info - I only run the firewall but install via the CIS download and uncheck the AV option | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Real World Computing (Me + a little help from Acer) OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 + x86 + Windows 8 x64 CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1035T 2.6 GHz Motherboard Aspire M3400 Memory 4Gb PC10600 DDR3 1333 MHz Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 315 512MB Sound Card OnBoard - Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Philips 32" HDTV, (HDMI) + 26" TV (VGA) Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 @60Hz + 1360 x 768 @60Hz Keyboard Microsoft Wireless 800 or Stock Acer, (depends where I sit) Mouse Microsoft Wireless 800 or Stock Acer, (depends where I sit) PSU Stock (400W) Case Acer M3400 Cooling Stock Hard Drives 500 GB Seagate ST3500418AS SATA II

Hello Nigel; I love the avatar. ... Thanks for the input; maybe in a day or so I'll give it another go. Just to clarify: you do have Comodo running successfully on Windows 7? F/W & A/V.

Howdy! ... Yes, I'm running Avast and Windows F/W at present. As I don't go places I shouldn't go; I'm not real concerned about a 3rd party F/W right now. I just wanted to get this sorted because I like CFP and would like to use it with Windows 7.
Thank you Nigel and to all who offer input.

Hi Ted,
Update on status of Comodo Internet Security Firewall only install
It Works
what I did was set the compatability mode of the installer to Vista RTM and it installed.
It may be that the installer is the thing that has the problem with seven | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Real World Computing (Me + a little help from Acer) OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 + x86 + Windows 8 x64 CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1035T 2.6 GHz Motherboard Aspire M3400 Memory 4Gb PC10600 DDR3 1333 MHz Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 315 512MB Sound Card OnBoard - Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Philips 32" HDTV, (HDMI) + 26" TV (VGA) Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 @60Hz + 1360 x 768 @60Hz Keyboard Microsoft Wireless 800 or Stock Acer, (depends where I sit) Mouse Microsoft Wireless 800 or Stock Acer, (depends where I sit) PSU Stock (400W) Case Acer M3400 Cooling Stock Hard Drives 500 GB Seagate ST3500418AS SATA II

You might take caution with Comodo Internet Security (Firewall). Take a look at the post below. It appears to run just fine, but uninstalling may be another story.

So I had to rely on System Restore in the end.
I'm staying with Windows Firewall for now and keeping my fingers crossed that it and Avast will protect me. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Self built custom OS 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 & Windows 8 Enterprise CPU Intel i7-3930K 3.2 Ghz (O/C 4 Ghz) Motherboard ASRock X79 Extreme11 Memory 32 GB (8GBx4) G.SKILL DDR3 Quad PC3-19200 2400MHz Graphics Card Sapphire HD5870 Eyefinity 6 2GB Sound Card SB Recon 3Di Integrated Chip Monitor(s) Displays 3x 27" Asus VE278Q Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution Mouse Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution PSU OCZ Series Gold OCZZ1000M 1000W Case Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition Cooling Corsair Hydro H100 Hard Drives 256GB OCZ Vector

Shawn while there might be bugs in the uninstaller there are ways to uninstall it
one would be to uninstall it in safe mode since it does not use the windows installer
there is post that actually shows how to successfully uninstall CPF if the uninstall stop, froze or BSOD. Here it is: Full Removal of Comodo Firewall Pro 3 with SafeSurf Toolbar (If Regular Uninstall Method Fails)
