a-squared uses 620kB memory for realtime protection ! hi !
which Antivirus & Antimalware uses the smallest amount of memory for the realtime protection ?
running taskmanager as admin i looked at a-squared (a2), it uses 620kB....
i only find 2 processes, that seems to belong to a-squared: a2guard.exe & a2service.exe.
am i missing something or doesn´t a-squared use more memory ?
that must be the lowest usage, or does anyone know another A/V & A/M that uses less ? | My System Specs |

Avast 5 is using around 8 MB RAM.
I know A Squared uses between 3-8 MB RAM, but not 620kb. There's something wrong. I guess its not working ATM. open a2 and then check the mem usage again. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Samsung NP530U4B-S02IN OS Windows® 8 Pro (64-bit) CPU Intel® Core™ i5 Processor 2467M (1.60GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) Motherboard Samsung Electronics Memory 6GB DDR3 System Memory at 1,333MHz (on BD 4GB + 2GB x 1) Graphics Card AMD Radeon™ HD7550M 1GB DDR3 (Ext. If you don't spend your time on the internet trying to get something for free, generally you don't have to worry about viruses. I've been running win 7 without an AV for a couple months and it hasn't slowed down at all.. and it still has the same memory usage and number of running processes it did when I finished setting up this laptop. | My System Specs | | |
