That is what I would suggest, but OP has a problem that he needs a resolution for, and are we not here to do the best we can for him? Including telling him when it might be better to cut his losses?

His problem is a rhetorical one.. why didnt mse perform the way he expected ... and the honest answer is that we dont and may never know... so time to cut bait or fish...

MSE is working like a charm on my PC. Every time I insert a USB drive with malware, it immediately picks it up. I think MSE by far better than any other security software.

Yes, I`ve often wondered if the programs we use are actually doing anything, who knows ? How can we be sure? Tuneup Utilities is a good example. I love this program but how do I know it`s doing it`s thing ? ( Of course we see the visual style change ) Maybe it`s just a money thing, ya know like 5.1 Dolby Digital. Maybe someday we`ll all wise up like John Luke !

Instead of putting yourself through all this angst, why not find an AV program that you trust??

Because maybe he thought he would get an answer from one of us, the program is so new, these things are on a razors edge ( Iron Maiden ploy )

Maybe it`s just Microsoft spyware ????? Go ahead, Tell me I`m crazy !!
