kinda what I meant by "keep your system from getting infected in the first place"



smacking panic buttons on something like this specifically "omgwthwhatwegonnadowerescrewed" kinda reaction is kinda counterproductive IMO because it scares folks that don't already know how to keep themselves clean and protected away from the whole mess, signing it off as too scary, too big to learn, too hard, et al.

Gotchya - yeah, the thread title is sensationalist, but I don't tend to be swaye by what the users write, but rather the articles themselves.

Well, that plus the fact that this is the 5th forum I visit that has this (or something similar from another newsfeed) posted, so....

Thanks for article John. It's eye opening even for seasoned folks. I have always been reluctant to set a BIOS password because I know I forget passwords I don't use regularly. But time to re-consider that thought I suppose.
