it may be annoying at times but i don't see a point in turning it off when any impact it has on the performance of my pc is minimal and just maybe one day it will be the thing that saves me from complete catastrophe

You should have another choice because I have UAC on for one machine and off for another. I can't choose Yes or No.
I find UAC to be annoying at best. Software and drivers do not install/work properly with UAC on.
I have never heard of any software or drivers not working because of UAC, in fact, I'm pretty sure that i would not install any software that recommended i turn it off.
This poll is confusing. Have you got UAC enabled or disabled? Yes or No?
The correct input should be "Have you got UAC enabled? Yes or No?".
Amyway i have mine off. lol.
I have UAC off. I hate how it needs me to ok everything every time
Mine will always be enabled. Its another layer to help protect us.
Mine is turned on, to the default settings in Windows 7.
The only slowdown would be the pop-up and a mouse click...shouldn't take that long.
I think this is mostly fine. However, I honestly don't know EXACTLY what each and every application that I have installed is doing. If it wants to become admin or needs to become admin..I want to know about it.
The default settings in Windows 7 are only to notify you when the application tries to escalate up to admin. It won't tell you when you do something unless you manually adjusted the UAC slider to the very top. That is a change from Vista and many people turned it off before they discovered it.
