Poll : Have you got UAC enabled or Disabled ?

Me, When I first installed 7, I did have it enabled for a little while, however after a while I decided to turn it off, because I found it somewhat annoying, and I found it slowed down my everyday computer.

I don't even need it anyway, I've got a good lineup of security defenses, including (ESET Smart Security, WinPatrol, Malwarebytes) but above all what matters most is the user. As long as you practice common sense then you're good to go !

So how about do you use UAC ?
    :)

As long as you are constantly aware of what you are doing, you should be ok, but I would disagree with your complaint of slowing you down though...how long does it take to click on a button.... a second or two.... just my thoughts...

I use UAC, its a tiny bit irritating but it tells you when a program uses Admin rights, that's a very good thing to know.

If it irritates you for a year but saves you from a malicious program once then is worth it.

I've got mine set at its defaults. One thing to note if you disable it is that you also turn off the protected mode feature of IE8.

Off. My anti virus and firewall settings are set high. They ask enough questions.

I use UAC at the default setting. I could turn it off because I have my system well protected. However, my wife also uses this computer...

    The poll is confusing....
Does 'Yes' mean enabled or disabled?

Just curious, do we need another thread on this? Logic just had one about a week ago and I think we got a pretty good feel for it then
