Norton Internet Security 2007 Does not work in Windows 7.

I tried Norton Internet Security 2007 in Windows 7 and there is a compatibility issue that prevents it from installing. Even when I upgraded Vista to Windows 7 I had major problems with system stability due to the software.
Just a heads up.

You should have upgraded to 360v2 by now.

I had Internet Security 2009 up and running fine, but switched to the 360 Beta just to be safe.

Norton 360 beta

Norton 360 is the best under these conditions. It looks as though they have been working closely with windows 7 people. The only probem I've had to date on 2007 is Roxio creator 2009 wouldn't activate after installation. I went to Roxio online and they have an update that solved that problem.

You take care.

Norton Internet Security 2009 seems to work fine with Seven Beta.

If you are in a subscription Symantec offers free version upgrades from 2007 > 2008 > 2009.

For example, the UK update page is here:

I would not use any Symantec Program.

I use Symantec Endpoint Protection and it is hands down one of the best and most unobtrusive AV clients and servers for an enterprise.

My university also uses it - on machines ranging from P4 1.8 GHz machines all the way up to new Lenovo Core2Duo E8400 based machines, and even on XP running on iMacs....

I just upgraded from Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Ultimate (Build 7057) and Norton 2009 seems tp work OK except for the "Sonar" application.
Norton automatically detects the problem and recommends a reinstall.
I'll try that and post the results.
