scanner suggestion

    scanner suggestion


    Can you suggest which program from Freewares

    like Avast, AVG, etc
    where we can scan our files
    & the next time we scan it doesnt scan the old folders

    only new ones

    I don't think that would be a good programthat doesn't scan all the programs each time. Even if it scanned it the first time it still could be infected the second time so why would you want that type of unprotection.

    FYI I use Microsoft Security Essentials. FREE

    Hello lordvader, Avast 5 does this if you enable Persistent cache.

    The initial scan takes a very long time as it caches its results, after that it only scans new files & files that have been accessed since the last scan & the areas that would be done in a quick scan.

    If you want to scan everything at a later date schedule a Boot time scan, this will scan all your drives and all your operating system before windows loads.

    Kaspersky & Norton offer a similar technology as Avasts Presistent cache but of course they are not freeware

    i too would surrgest avast but add malwarebytes and a good anti spyware program for best protection.

    use superantispyware and since malwarebytes more focuses of the malware were superantispyware finds more addware and tacking cookies and stuff that compremises your privacy.
