If there was no MSE, Id be using avast 5. The new UI is vastly improved over the old one.

A great improvement on the old version, especially with the interface. It looks more like a serious product now when compared to the old media-style interface which I felt was a bit gimmicky. Performance-wise I have had no issues with either version and, being free, it is certainly good value. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Hey, I was going to download avast, and when I went to the website I saw the had a new "version" of it out, and that it is supposedly completely different from the old one, I also heard it crashes a lot. What do you guys think?
I tried it in a VM and it was better that it had a single interface but still not sure that I'd switch back to it from MSE.
