Windows 7: elow!!

would care to answer this i got avg anti virus....and a smartbro connection.....when ever i connect my connection...it doesnt start but if my anti virus is off i got connection it is safe to have no active anti virus???????

Its not safe to use internet while AV is off.

Did you try AVG advance settings?
-Choose Resident Shield
-Exclude Files
-Locate Smartbro.

I forgot if Smartbro use a software to dial to connect Internet Connection.

Have you tried other AV rather than AVG? If your problem still persist, try this:

Malwarebytes.org

malwarebytes is not an av program.

Id suggest MSE or avast.

Excuse me but I was giving him a suggestion to scan with Malwarebytes just in case something is hooked to his connection that shares it. Something might be hooked since he doesn't use a firewall. I didn't elaborate much because my Internet is quite slow this time and it takes 20-30 seconds to load the forums.

Well, if the AVG resident shield is the problem. A change in AV might solve the problem.
