    Malwarebytes freezes during scan

Hey guys, whenever I scan (Full or Quick) malwarebytes gets laggy, and then it freezes, and I noticed that it freezes after it starts scanning through the HKEY files. Any suggestions or help will be appreciated.

How is your disk fragmentation? It's a disk intensive program. If you never defrag that could cause it to slow down and even hang.

Hi, I solved my problem, what you got to do is, unistall it then go to your start menu and in the search box type regedit.

Then click on the Edit tab, and click find... then in the box type Malwarebytes, and what ever comes up delete it, then find it again and delete it untill nothing comes up for malwarebytes... then reinstall it:) Thats what I did and my problem was solved.

I tried the regedit and didn't work...

My malwarebytes freezes every time it gets to a certain file and sometimes it restarts my Windows. I tried Rkill. I tried regedit. I tried safemode. I don't know what to do. None of my other anti programs are finding anything.

Hi, heatherleigh7. Welcome to Seven Forums.

Try cleaning the temporary files first.

    Download TFC to your desktop

    • Open the file and close any other windows.
    • It will close all programs itself when run, make sure to let it run uninterrupted.
    • Click the Start button to begin the process. The program should not take long to finish its job
    • Once its finished it should reboot your machine, if not, do this yourself to ensure a complete clean
