The installers is good, but sucks for me as i use dialup. i can't pause/resume when i have to. but it's basically the same choose w/e you want then it downloads from there servers to your pc.

I to just use the Firewall, just wanted to see if anyone has a good review on it :P

    I am a Mod on Comodo's Forums.
Version 4 is a great piece of software. Few popups, strong security. 32- and 64-bit, works with Windows 7, Sandbox feature for greater security.
However, I personally think it needs more polishing. For that reason alone I am still using 3.14.

The new installer is simply an online installer. You run the installer locally, and it will download and install the modules/sections you wish to install.
Please note, there is an (unofficial) offline installer available for those with a slow Internet connection:

So with this new installer setup it scans your system, (is this just an .exe file or does it install on your OS)

Then you have the option in my case download firewall only & then save the installation files to say my desktop

EDIT; Thank you for the link i assume it is the AV, Defence+ and firewall bundled together with options as to what you want to install, as in the previous version

I attempted to install both the offline installer and the online one - neither would work! Plus, to boot (pardon the pun) one must first uninstall the previous version. All attempts failed with error 1603! Then the previous version would not install! I finally had to use the unofficial (I hate the fact that companies put out products but others have to figure out how to fix 'em) Clean Up tool to get the old version to install. Fortunately, I had saved the configuration so it could be restored!

On the Comodo website, there are comments about the Windows Installer being the problem, and recommended upgrading to Version 4.5. However, Microsoft does not mention Win 7 with that version! If the Windows Installer is the problem, how do I upgrade the Windows 7 version?

    Thanks in advance.
