how long does it take to scan? i just clicked on qiuck scan about 5 mins ago and its not even 1%??

Depends mostly on how much files you have on your computer, if not alot than scans are pretty quick.

looking for a new antivirus
i have had norton antivirus for over 2 years now and to be honest it works very well, but the main problem is the fact that i can only have it on a single pc, otherwise i have to spend like $100 more to put it on all my pcs which is a huge rip off are there any antivirus programs that work well...
