If anything is missing, add it as a post. Technical limitations limited us to ten options. REST ASSURED, your vote will be counted.

Norton's heuristic detection isn't up to par, however, it is very good at prevention.

None of the above. Suites have a tendency to be a jack-of-all-trades and end up being a master of none.

I'm not recommending an entire suite these days, besides it's from Norton / Kaspersky. Both has an excellent AV & Firewall, specially the Kaspersky! Still I'll be picking up my setup individually, with two sides as Paid & Free. For Paid...

    Antivirus : Norton / Bitdefender / Avira / ESET
    Antispyware : Malwarebytes
    Firewall : Norton / Outpost / KIS

    For Free...

    Antivirus : Avira / Avast
    Antispyware : Spybot S&D / Malwarebytes / SUPERAntispyware
    Firewall : Comodo / PCTools

One more thing to add, PCTools Threatfire, a very good support to your security setup. A very good behavior based maleware detection engine, that catches the malicious code that missed by Antivirus, Firewall OR Antispyware. Remeber, No Antivirus is just perfect!
