Exactly, +1 to that, you cant say "It does not give false positives", its not going to tell you its a false positive, just thinks its malware when it really isnt.

I was using MSE, but I wanted more of a log file and some more options than what MSE provided so I am trying out ESET NODE32 right now. Yes, it's not free, but I wanted some more options. Seems to be quite light and running well.
I did try out the smart security first of all, but found I could not get the network systems talking to each other, by default the firewall blocked them. I'm sure I could have worked with it a bit and gotten it configured, but the default action should be to allow the home networked computers to talk to each other and allow sharing of folders already setup that way in Windows. The basic home user would get pretty frustrated easily and uninstall and not buy IMO.
The anti virus by itself is working fine though. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit CPU Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40 Ghz Memory 8GB RAM Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 4600 Monitor(s) Displays HP w2007 Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050 Hard Drives 700 GB |

Hi, if you are looking for more options and customization, why don't you try Kaspersky Anti Virus 2010? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Compaq OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel core 2 duo T 5550 @ 1.83 GHz Motherboard Intel 965 express mobile chipset Memory 3 GB DR 2 @ 667 MHz Graphics Card Onboard with approx 512 MB RAM Sound Card Onboard Monitor(s) Displays 15"4 inch widescreen Hard Drives 160 GB SATA WD. Because ESET seems to have a better record out there based on all the reviews and articles I've read, plus a smaller footprint and it does seem to be pretty configurable from what I've found. Just wanted some more logging more than anything.
I found with MSE, when I went into it, I couldn't find out if at the scheduled time if a scan did indeed happen and it an update happened before that (I had it set to do so, but like to see a log of what happened). | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit CPU Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40 Ghz Memory 8GB RAM Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 4600 Monitor(s) Displays HP w2007 Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050 Hard Drives 700 GB |
