It does serve the purpose of getting a series of comments going on which (of the near equals) is preferred, so no flag, no foul.
I'm a bit paranoid, and go to some dodgy sites for research in security so I use the following:
MSE
IOBit 360
WinPatrol (to tell me when something tries to install an ActiveX control or startup)
Malwarebytes - weekly or more often scanning
Windows 7 Firewall Control - to tell me when something tries to phone home.
COMODO DNS servers.
All of the above are on my main x64 system, the same on my x32 system, with the exception of COMODO as a firewall. (I use different solutions to see what works best in the environment, and like the 32 bit version of COMODO.) | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Gateway, Toshiba Laptop, and Home Brew OS Windows 7 x64 HP, Windows 7 HP, Windows 7 Ult CPU Intel I3, Cerelon, Pentium 4 @ 3Ghz Motherboard Intel, Intel, Asus Memory 8G, 3G, 3G Graphics Card On-board Intel, On-board nVidia, nVIDIA card Sound Card on-board, on-board, SoundBlaster Monitor(s) Displays Hannspree HF237, Toshiba, SyncMaster 931B Screen Resolution default (all) Keyboard standard wired (all) Mouse standard wired (all) PSU 300w, unk, 650w Case black, black, grey Cooling air (all) Hard Drives 1T internal, 320G internal, 160G internal, 1T networked Internet Speed 6M down, 768K up Other Info Home LAN through Linksys hub to 4 port and wireless switch/router.
