I don't think it makes much difference really I run Kaspersky and Malwarebytes for they are worth they have never picked up anything anyway. I do run SuperAntiSpyware on my machines which picks up a few PUP's all the time but it is something that will not download to my android.

To be honest from what I have read androids are just too easy to hack anyway and I think the security they say they come with is pretty flimsy. Like everything else if someone wants to hack you they will - just take a look at the news around at the moments if they can break into the FBI and CIA what chance us??

My concern is they can make my privacy non existent.

Android malware is the fastest growing attack these days. Due to popularity, and mostly lack of protection. Unless it strongly impacts performance, I'd think it would be a good idea.

    Yep with popularity comes threats
Windows is the original good example
Android is just the new kid on the block that is attractive to attack.

Avast and AVG have good ratings. There is an anti virus I did not know and it is very popular, is called 360 security. Kaspersky also seems a good option but it would be for a super tablet.

I think installing ESET but wonder the three mentioned have more stars.

I did not know that there was also for android : https://www.av-test.org/es/antivirus/moviles/
