Bottom line best Anti Virus spyware /really can't be labeled to one brand
But the Op that uses the Machine and has Knowledge of what He or She is doing
With the Anti virus and websites visited is pretty much the best Defence
Common sense / and trusted sites pretty much all you can do
MSE was going good job, but as I said, I have readed a lot of positive commentars for Avast, and that guys said that Avast is much better than MSE, so I decided to try it. For now it's working fine, no pc slowing down, 2 processes that take ~ 13MB RAM. I'll do full scan tommorow and will see how fast will it scan.
I used Avast on my XP PC with no issues, and have been using it on my 7 PC since I got it. I've never had a virus, and only occasionally had Avast pop up to tell me it blocked a malicious file on a site. Since no malicious files have gotten in, that indicates to me, that when I did encounter them, Avast handled it. I have Avira installed with the guard off for on demand scanning, and have run scans on online sites, so I have 2nd opinions. Good enough for me. A Guy
Did you have the free version before and upgraded when pop-ups opened? That's what happened with MBAM.
IMO:
Paid - Kaspersky
Free - MSE.
I personally use MSE.
