    Cloud based Anti virus....

    Panda Cloud Antivirus

Panda Cloud Antivirus detects all viruses cataloged in Panda Security’s Collective Intelligence servers.

Panda Cloud Antivirus, the best free antivirus has received the first ever ICSA Labs certification for pure cloud-based antivirus.

To achieve the ICSA Labs Anti-Virus Certification, products must meet all criteria for detection of malware. Products must demonstrate they have the capability to detect, identify and prevent self-replicating malware while reporting no false positives.

Additionally Panda Cloud Antivirus has met all criteria for cleaning of malware on desktops and servers, which includes removal of “in-the-wild” viruses from infected files and sectors. The certified products must be able to remove all viruses without adversely affecting the data or functionality that existed before the infection.

    Download and more

Seems everything is going the way of the cloud. How effective this will be only time will tell but the concept is good.

Will try this out for a while.

    Panda Cloud AV is nice.

But as far as I know it's self-defence features are weaker compared to some other products

Btw, Panda Security is a new participant in www.av-comparatives.org for this year :)

P.S. on the first on demand test, it did really good job: http://www.av-comparatives.org/index...144&Itemid=152 edit: (Tested product: [B]Panda Antivirus Pro[B])

What happens if you have a PC that is corrupted to the point it can't access the internet? It would still need some PC based security software. I just fixed a PC for a client today that had malware to the point the user couldn't access anything on the internet as the rougue would direct him to their site and give him a false message about needing their software to "clean up" the PC. It was an easy fix, Malware Bytes took care of the problems.
