got the same result from "k9 web protection", as suspicious. with the following explanation.

"Sites considered to have suspicious content and/or intent. This categorization is determined by analysis of web reputation factors. If a site is determined to be clearly malicious or benign, it will be placed in a different category"

PC SpeedScan Pro is only a registry cleaner that needs payment before it fixes anything. (At least, in 2008)

The commercial (or a past commercial) shows a MacBook displaying a "blue screen of death" .

Anyone that was planning on using this software should try the free CCleaner by Piriform.

I thought MacBooks were immune to BSOD.

There is a similar advertisement in the U.S. The sad part is the number of people who fall for those advertisements. After all, if it is on television, it must be true, right?

You can use the free online LinkScanner before clicking on a link:
Exploit Prevention Labs: Online Web Safety Scan

Don't bother downloading it because it will slow your computer down. Just bookmark it.

Mac OS X doesn't have the BSOD that we refer to, because it's a different operating system. However, it can lock up, have boot errors, and other problems.

If you install Windows on a Mac, then you're just as susceptible to BSOD's as anyone else running Windows.
