    Avast vs Microsoft Security Essentials test....

    First i disable Microsoft Security Essentials.(Capture 1)
    Then i open an INFECTED file (i have this for testing) and avast dident do anything,NOTHING.
    Then i tried the Test your Anti Virus test, again avast NO response.
    Then i disable avast and enable Microsoft Security Essentials, and do the same things.View the results (Capture 2 and Capture 3)
    MSE,Avast 2-0.
    So i will remove avast and keep Microsoft Security Essentials.
    I wish to <<cure>> my win7 firewall, because as i said before i want to stay with windows originall security i dont want to use third programs.

    Have you followed Captain Jack's suggestion at https://www.sevenforums.com/670532-post5.html for the Windows firewall with Firefox?

    Try this: Start-All Progams-Accessories-Right-click CMD-Run as Administrator
    type: sfc/scannow and press enter
    let it scan.
    When finished try the firewall again
    still got problems? Repair install

    I honestly never seen Windows Firewall blocking Firefox !! Maybe reinstalling Firefox might fix it !!

    I started win7 firewall.
    I dont like it,i dident like the interface and all the rest, ungly, stupid, with lots of errors for me,it cant remember my options changes etc.
    Nevermind,as i said before, for the moment i will stay with pc tools firewall, simple and good.
    Microsoft Security Essentials,simple and good.
    And Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware for extra scan ever few days.
