Hi, panais.
First make sure that the firewall you were using previously has been disabled/uninstalled. Next, I suggest you start by resetting the default settings and see if that works. See the tutorial at Windows Firewall - Restore Default Settings. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 & Windows Vista Ultimate |

If you're not tied to Windows Firewall, I recommend disabling it and installing Comodo Firewall (Free) Download Comodo Firewall
Otherwise, go through this support article and browse the others on the Microsoft site. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...ewall-settings | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Apple Macbook Pro (April 2009) OS W7 Ult. x64 | OS X CPU Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo 2.93Ghz [T9800 Penryn] Motherboard NVIDIA nForce 730i Rev. In Windows 7 you have advance Firewall when you add the rule make sure you add for both Inbould and Outbound. I guess might just added either one of them. So go ahead and add for both inbound and outbound and reboot the System one it important to reboot because sometime it reuquries the Services to restart to take effect. Follow this doucment from Firefox carefully Configuring Windows Firewall
Hope this helps,

@notsograymatter, I don't include Comodo in my list of recommended free firewall software programs because Comodo includes the prechecked installation of the HopSurf Toolbar (another IAC product which replaced the Ask Toolbar) and this discussion topic: Dark side of COMODO.... | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 & Windows Vista Ultimate |

I want to REMOVE avast,is my pc safe with only Microsoft Security Essentials? In my opinion going from avast! to MSE is downgrading. Independant tests show time and again that avast! out performs MSE on every level. Having said that, it's your computer so ultimately, it's up to you to decide what you use. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number tw33k OS Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) SP1 CPU Intel 3770k 4.6GHz Motherboard ASUS Maximus V Formula Memory 8GB (2x 4GB) Crucial Ballistix Graphics Card Sapphire 7950 (1060/1600) Sound Card On Board Realtek HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays 27" Acer B273HU (via HDMI) Screen Resolution 2048 x 1152 Keyboard Microsoft Wireless 5000 Mouse Microsoft Wireless 5000 PSU Corsair AX750 Gold Case Corsair Obsidian 800DW Cooling Corsair H100 (2x AP-121/2x UK-3000 push/pull) Hard Drives Crucial M4 128GB
