Virus Problem!

    Virus Problem!


    I have this virus I cant get rid of "conime.exe". I know windows runs one...but I have a load of them with an April date running and its stopping me from getting on the net...system restore...etc...Have run Malwarebytes and nothing shows...please help! Thank you for ur time...

    From what I see the program is a part of Microsoft's OS if you are using an Asian language.

    Microsoft Console IME (Input Method Editor). It executes whenever a command prompt is opened. Apparently used for Asian language input support in the command prompt.

    As always, be sure to backup your system before you try to remove anything.

    OK...correction here...now I can get into system restore but I cant connect to the internet via the cable but can with wireless??? Rebooted modem and still the same problem?

    Problem fixed...was a connection problem where Shaw Secure wasnt working and blocking me from getting on the net. I "unloade" it and then "loaded" it and it works! Shaw said it was a "glitch"...lol...time for BitDefender! Thanx for the help.

    mm, not sure, but is there something at the top of this topic you started to check as 'fixed'?
