I have this virus I cant get rid of "conime.exe". I know windows runs one...but I have a load of them with an April date running and its stopping me from getting on the net...system restore...etc...Have run Malwarebytes and nothing shows...please help! Thank you for ur time...
From what I see the program is a part of Microsoft's OS if you are using an Asian language.
If you aren't, and you see a lot of them as you say, then this link may be of help: How to Remove Conime.exe | eHow.comMicrosoft Console IME (Input Method Editor). It executes whenever a command prompt is opened. Apparently used for Asian language input support in the command prompt.
As always, be sure to backup your system before you try to remove anything.
Problem fixed...was a connection problem where Shaw Secure wasnt working and blocking me from getting on the net. I "unloade" it and then "loaded" it and it works! Shaw said it was a "glitch"...lol...time for BitDefender! Thanx for the help.
