    group policy configuration

    hi
i have two acounts on my win7, an adim and a standard user. i want to set some limitation to the standard user so that it cannot access partions and control panel or to make right click on desktop. i tried gpedit.msc to prevent users from installing adons or delete EI7 history or make any changes but the configuration applies to both admin and standard user.

i would appreciate if someone could help me on how to set such limitations only to the standard user.

Typically gpedit.msc apply settings machine wide.

Sounds like you are Windows Savvy; what you can do is manually edit the registry to restrict the standard user. Or there are utilities out there that can help you do it more automate.

See if any of these 'restrictions' do what you want ... be sure to back up your registry before you change it! All Kinds of Restrictions for Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 2008 and 7 - Tweaking with Vishal
