    What is the File System Sheild in avast?


    What is the File System Sheild in avast?...................,there is a problem called system shield is missing when i tried run my avast anti virus?

    It monitors all files and programs running on your system and is the main componant of the avast real time scanner. If this is missing you are unprotected. Recommend a complete re-install and then a complete scan including all locations.

    Hello Munna,

    In addition, you might check in your Avast settings to make sure that File System Sheild, under the REAL-TIME SHIELDS tab, is started by clicking on the Start button to gray it out.

    Hello Munna - A lot of great info above... Avast is one of the programs I have set as my main AV... I follow it up with MSE as a backup and scan here and there with it... but must add, I haven't had a virus in years... GL :)
