    Kaspersky and MSE

Is it possible to run both? I like both of them and I have 360 days left on my subscription for Kaspersky.

If you have 2 av's running at the same time then it will cause you problems, I've seen instances where the 2 AV's reckon the other ones a virus, iv seen instances where one of them just rolls over and lets the other one do its job, shutting itself down, i've seen instances where they BOTH do this, leaving you with no AV at all.

Bottom line? Make a decision about which one to use, but dont use both

I suppose you can, but you won't want to... Running 2 AVs at the same time will rob your performace like all hell break loose....

Thanks for the help, that's what I'll use then. Do I need to get a Firewall for it as well? I heard it doesn't have one.

If you have 360 days left, I would Use Kaspersky.
If it is between those two I would use MSE. (Personally)

EDIT: If you paid for Kaspersky, use it until it expires then go with MSE.

Windows 7 already has a firewall built in, I would just use that.

Windows 7 have built in firewall, it's very good but too bad it's quite hard to configure (for regular users at least).
You don't need separate firewall, Windows's is good enough.

Use Kaspersky and then when your subscription runs out decide if you want to change.

im a big fan of kis i use it and i can honestly say it tops Microsoft, it stops so much coming to your computer and you can tweak the security on it to suit your personal use, run it for a few weeks and look at the detailed report and see what it stops coming in :) (of course this is my personal opinion).
