on Foxit of course, what else ?

if you want to search for a word /words in a pdf-file, then there is a small window at the top-bar where you enter the word, my last installed Foxit-reader had "ASK" to the left of that window.

if you donīt see the searchbutton then you perhaps have removed it from the top-bar ?
right-click with your mouse on the bar and select search, and then see what happens...
Hallo hackerman, you got me thinking and i have had the Ask button install on the PDF viewer itself on a previous version when i deselected all the Ask options.

I do not have it on this installation & tried reinstalling as well & it has not turned up.

But as you have kindly pointed out that Ask is a Security risk & because i have had it install previously without consent. I think i will explore the alternatives :) (why play with fire)

Thanks for bringing this to my attention

how you not read my testreport above ?
    nice screenshots too....
take a look on page 2:

"after starting Foxit i started looking for the ASK-searchbutton,
if you click on "Tools" then "Preferences", then the 8th setting "Internet search", then the 3rd option is "Hide Ask.com Search Button".

    itīs still there...
