    BitLocker

i just tried to start bit locker and its complaining about a tmp. i read on wikipedia what this is, but i'm confused as to whether i need an embedded chip, a hardware device, or a driver? CONFUSED.

bit locker doesn't have an issue encrypting my usb flash drive though. i hardly believe its more capable than my laptop!

You can still use bitlocker without a tpm chip.
