I doubt it but you can try an app like recuva to see if there is any recoverable data on the HD>

Why do you want to recover files that are quarantined? If it's quarantined, then I assume it's considered dangerous by McAfee...right? Anyway, you can try "Recuva", and you need to "scan" the output manually... A lot of work ahead of you.

If McAfee says that those files are iffy, I would leave them alone. Reinstalling programs is not a big deal. Don't do it all at once but install them at the time you need them. That is less boring. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 |

I think the odds are not very good (data overwrite by the reinstall) but, DL and install the free <Find and Mount> which you will find here. I have used it on occasion and find it to be excellent. It has only one limit from the paid version: a 512KB/sec speed limit - which is fine for docs, MP3s, JPEGs, etc., and not a big deal otherwise.
One other thing - and I assure you I am not gratuitously ragging on you: develop a reliable backup protocol and follow it religiously.
